Nemanja Vidic
The Serbian skipper says the Red Devils are ready to respond to their derby defeat and raring to go ahead of the clash Everton vs Manchester United at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Vidic, who featured against Aldershot in midweek and is expected to return to the United line-up against Everton, believes his team have showed positive signs in training.

"We haven’t come to training with our heads down. We have come in and worked harder because we want to play better and improve. This is the right mentality to have to try and get over bad results. They are the positive things that have come from this week," said the United captain.

Also on Saturday, Chelsea vs Arsenal promises to be a thrilling clash in the Premier League.

Muammar Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam called his father frequently on the telephone and increasingly feared being hit by a mortar bomb as he tried to escape from the town of Bani Walid last week, an officer told.

"He was nervous. He had a Thuraya (satellite phone) and he called his father many times," said al-Senussi Sharif al-Senussi, a lieutenant in Gaddafi's army who was part of Saif's security team in Bani Walid until the city fell on October 17.

Lionel Messi is Argentine even when he goes to the bathroom

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has frequently been criticized for his showings for the national team, which have been in stark contrast to the form he has shown at club level. However, Diego Maradona has rubbished the perception that Messi does not show his true colors for Argentina.

"Just leave him alone and stop with those stories that he is Catalan," he told reporters at a press conference. "He is Argentine even when he goes to the bathroom, stop with those stories. If he cannot perform for Argentina like he does for Barcelona, we just have to wait. He will get tired of all the jerks who comment on him and have never kicked a football."

Barcelona vs Sevilla at Camp Nou today and Messi is going to be a star of the game. What a pity that I will miss the match because it is too late in my time zone. Thanks God that the English Premier League match Liverpool vs Norwich City is still available for me.
